Glendale School District #77 serves approximately 400
children, K-12, from the communities of Glendale and Azalea. The three
campuses include the Glendale Elementary School, Glendale Jr/Sr High School,
and the School District Office.
The communities of Glendale and Azalea nestle in the heart of the beautiful
Cow Creek Valley of Southwest Oregon, along the I-5 corridor, at exit 80.
Surrounded by natural beauty in every direction, Glendale school children
have historically come from families where hunting, fishing and logging are
the normal seasons of the year. They have now been joined by families
who are small business owners, and those who commute to larger towns to earn
a living while residing in a small town setting.
Though Glendale's population is small, our vision is not. Graduates
from our schools can be found all over the world contributing in fields from
engineering to veterinary science, from communications to environmental
research, the military to vocational trades, and from business owners to
Olympic athletes. Past students have returned as teachers, coaches and
support staff to invest in the next generation of local children who are
preparing to set goals for their lives. Some will live them out here;
others will use their days here as a launching pad to distant places.
We are honored by either decision!
On a typical day in the Glendale school district you may see sports teams
hard at practice, deer grazing on the district office lawn, a high school
building that looks like a pirate ship, and the superintendent doing recess
duty.
Welcome to life in the Glendale School District!
